Overview

This section 8 company is a charitable organization to establish, set-up, maintain, manage and provide skill and entrepreneurship training on livestock rearing. This organization will carry out research and development related to sheep, goat, pig and feed and fodder sector, extension activities, livestock innovation. To promote skill based training and dissemination of technologies for reducing cost of production, and improving production of livestock sector, entrepreneurship development to increase animal productivity and thus targeting increased production. To provide farmer welfare activities, support farmers with seeds, fertilizer and harvesting, support farming with machinery required, rural education and medical facilities, to organize skill development training center, supporting and guiding the people to get subsidy/loan from the government. To carry out the aforesaid activities for charitable purposes and not for profit, for all citizens irrespective of caste, religion and sex for promoting the objectives of the company.

Mission

To establish a sustainable integrated model livestock farm for promoting modern cost-effective farming with animal welfare practices to support farmers, entrepreneurs and Society.

Values

For animal and social welfare, we use evidenced based research to determine best practices for the animals we protect. Also with evidence-based research, we regularly engage our partners and stakeholders to inform animal welfare practices.

  • Excellent animal welfare and social service, including timely review of applications; responsive and courteous handling of inquiries and complaints; and fair and equitable farming consultations for implementing modern research based practices.
  • Learning opportunities to support humane animal care and use, including practical tips and aids, webinars, symposia, presentations at conferences and meetings, stakeholder messages, and science-based research.
  • Quality inspections and guidance to support the regulated community in understanding the regulatory requirements, gaining an accurate picture of their compliance status, and working through compliance challenges to ensure humane animal care and use.
  • Assistance for regulated facilities seeking personalized help with compliance challenges and for people and animals in disasters.

Goals

  • Ensure the humane treatment of animals covered by the Animal Welfare Act
  • Improving the housing and handling of animals in research, and encouraging the development and implementation of alternatives to experimentation on live animals
  • Abolishing factory farming, supporting high-welfare family farms, and eliminating inhumane methods used to slaughter animals raised for food
  • Preventing injury and death of animals caused by harsh transport conditions
  • Protecting companion animals from cruelty and violence, including suffering associated with inhumane conditions in the pet industry
  • Provide national leadership on the safety and well-being of pets and other animals in disasters
